Welcome!

This website is dedicated to simplification. GhettoCottage, to me, has always revolved around the idea of living with less: buying cheaper, finding inexpensive things that will work, and using imagination to expand on the resources that one has available. This goes back to the days when I rented a small, run down cottage on the other side of the tracks for $150 a month.

I’m still trying to simplify, in many areas. Now, more than ever, is a time when people used to living large need to minimize. The writers whom you will meet here are students of this idea. Our self-image is not boosted by how much money we make and spend, but rather on how little we can live with.

In addition to this, we also discuss topics that tend to be taken for granted by the population at large but often need a little more scrutiny. Feel free to put in your two cents worth.

If you have stumbled onto this site randomly then feel free to browse, leave comments, and come back as often as you would like. If you are looking for web design work, you will need to contact adam. He can be reached at  adam at ghettocottage.com
