For some reason there have been a lot of Star Trek novels in the thrift store latley, so I have been begrugingly reading them. My biggest issue with Star Trek is the focus on the Federation being the center of all goodness and morality for the rest of the galaxy (sounds suspiciously like a certain country I know of and its relation to the rest of our current world)

Other than that I just enjoy a good scifi read. The current Star Trek books I am reading (and this one) were written in the ’80s, so its funny to see their “technology” they have everyone using looking outdated compared to what we have nowadays.
